OH YUMM-oh!!! Lamb vindaloo and a naan is my hook. I eat here all the time. It's SUPER challenging for me to give out 5-stars so 4 is a super great score from me.

I have been eating here for years and it is hands-down the best Indian food... Very authentic. The bindi masala (okra) is amazing... So is the biriyani and veggie samosas. The first place whose food is not dripping with oil. Love this family restaurant.

A real hidden gem. A friend recommended this place to me. We had carry out and it was delicious. You must try the Shrimp Tikka Masala! A bit on the pricey side, but it was absolutely delicious. The smell of curry & spices surrounded our entire kitchen. If you order spicy, it will be spicy. Trust me. The only thing I did not like was their nan. It did not look or taste like the regular nan I have had elsewhere. The nan comes with only 4 little pieces and is pricy. It also does not come with your meal. I regret not going to Kroger and buying my nan there. However, rice comes with your meal and there are no substitutions. Overall, authentic Indian food.

First time I went there. I ordered chicken tikka masala ,lamb jhalfry & plain naan for Togo. When I came back home & open the box.. I thundered,Because I didn't find any naan ,chicken tikka masala. I found chicken curry & porota. In lamb jhalfry they added less meat & lot of vegetables . They don't have any idea of Indian cuisine . Please don't visit this kind of worst place.

I have no idea how this place stays open. Never had such a disappointing food in a Indian place. They don't even have a tandoori oven. If you like over priced oily food this is your joint. Food has no flavor and service is so so even though we were the only table. Never had sour chicken briyani before but they have it. We ordered nan and they served packaged oily roti and try to convinced us that's real nan. There are so many other good Indian restaurant in the area, I don't see the reason to come here.

While in Sterling Heights (not too far from Detroit), G wanted some Indian food. After searching on Yelp (and finding one that was open for a super early dinner), we decided to try New Delhi. The reviews were super mixed. We got there as soon as it opened, so we were the first ones there. It's not a large restaurant. The person working there turned on the Indian music video when we walked in. G ordered the Vegetable Samosas. They were tasty and big! I wasn't going to order an appetizer, but they had Panner Pakora. I had never had them before. I love the Indian cheese, and it was basically Indian cheese sticks. They were really good. The cheese isn't as stringy as the mozzarella cheese sticks in many restaurants. G ordered something new, the fish korma. It was also full of flavor. I ordered the Palak Panner. This is both of our favorite, in general. I liked it. It was a bit creamier than most restaurants. The prices were pretty standard for Indian restaurants. The service was good. It was a ton of food. We both took a lot home. I would go here again, if I were in the area, which is doubtful, though.

We got carry-out from here tonight and... well, it's decent. Both Palak paneer (spinach and cheese) and navrattan korma (mixed veggies in a cream sauce) were ordered mild. Let's just say that mild at NDIR means mildly spicy. Raita (cucumber and carrot in yogurt) was the runny kind; I like mine thicker. The taste, too, was different (not bad, just unexpected - where's the cucumber?). We got an order of onion kulcha (bread with embedded onions and spices). Again, it was not bad but not the taste I usually get. In sum, this is an OK choice but not as good as others nearby like Royal and Ashoka.

Half way through my Chicken Tikka Masala my sister exclaimed! "There's a hair in your food!" I said, "Nooo...it must be part of the vegetable.." and then I began to whimper as she yanked out a very long, dark, course, hair... :'( :'( So sad...so sad... At that moment I was more pissed at her for seeing it... What I don't know won't hurt me right? So that was the end of that meal...and for that dinner and an order of Paneer Pulatha it was almost $17...that's kind of a lot.....for me anyway.. LUCKILY for me and my Crack(Indian) Addiction I have right now....there are MANY MANY other places for me to get my fix... I wouldn't not go back here too, I understand that mistakes happen...but I had nothing else to go by on this visit... First impressions SuCk!

always loved the food here. In terms of service, it changes quite drastically with the server. Sometimes i get great service and then there are times when you have ur eyebrows raised for a minute.

I love the 'thalis' at lunch. They fill you just enough and taste nice. The dinner is very good. They make fresh rotis as you keep asking.

I liked this place. The staff is very friendly. The samosas were good. I think after long time I had a perfect veg samosas. It was not so hard or soft or oily. It was sort of fluffy and cooked well. Although, they might have to work on the chutneys. I got cold chutneys with the hot samosas and did not go well with such good samosas. It was quite watery. I also had Chicken biryani and it was delicious. I liked it a lot. The portion of the chicken biryani was more than enough to fill my hungry soul with the delicious indian food. I think this is a good place for an authentic indian food.

My man and I found ourselves across town, still smarting from the closure of our beloved Gandhi. We came across this little place on a Sunday evening, delighted to see what the food was like and to feed the jones of our poor curry-deprived tastebuds. We chatted for awhile as the sounds of chopping and cooking floated from the kitchen, then were pleasantly surprised-the food was really very good! I'm a stickler for sauces and spices, and my veggie pakoras and mushroom mater were richly spiced and delicious! Flavors here are robust, and they're not afraid to give you a little heat. They have homemade kulfi ice creams in various flavors, but the pistachio is absolute heaven! The decor is simple and warm with large, beautiful fabric paintings near. Your meal is served on vintage 70's Corelle, which I find adorable, and everyone here (it's family owned) has been extremely fun and friendly! After leaving our sweetheart of a waitress a very large tip, we rolled out full and happy that day, the first of many delicious meals we've enjoyed here.

A dingy hole in the wall Indian cafe located in a tired old plaza off of Dequindre rd. I wont lie I think the food is pretty good, Vee Jay is a good cook. However the recent price increase left a bad taste in my mouth, went in there for take out lunch and was bushwhacked by the 24.00 bill waiting for me. Same thing a few months before was 16.00, so if you want to go there I would stick to dinners not lunch, or go across the parking lot to Pi's Thai for a better "hole in the wall" experience.
